Every fall, Braun Station East comes together for one of our most anticipated community gatherings of the year: Braunfest. Much like the famous Oktoberfest celebrations that originated in Munich, Germany, Braunfest is a time for neighbors to enjoy good food, fellowship, and fun right here in our own neighborhood. 
 
Braunfest is more than just an event — it’s a tradition that reflects the history and spirit of our community. The Braun family, for whom Braun Station is named, immigrated from Germany in the mid-1800s and settled in northwestern Bexar County. Today, Braunfest pays homage to that German heritage while bringing our modern community together for an evening of laughter, food, and memories. 
 
Just as Oktoberfest is known for its long tables, hearty meals, and lively gatherings, Braunfest offers residents the chance to enjoy delicious food, great company, and the kind of neighborhood spirit that makes Braun Station East unique. It’s a chance to take a break from our busy schedules and spend quality time with the people who share our community. 
 
This year’s Braunfest will take place on September 27th from 4–8 pm, with food served from 5–6 pm. Be sure to bring your family, meet new neighbors, and reconnect with old friends as we celebrate fall in Braun Station East style. 
 
Traditions like Braunfest remind us that while our neighborhood is built on history, it thrives on connection. We hope to see you there — and perhaps even raise a toast to many more years of Braunfest celebrations!
